Amir John Haddad (“El Amir”) is a charismatic guitar virtuoso, concert performer and composer, and is recognized as one of the leading soloists in the realm of guitar and flamenco. He is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, playing the oud, bouzouki, banjo, bass guitar, electric guitar, saz and ukulele, and feels at home in genres including flamenco, rock, fusion, funk, classical, world music and heavy metal.
He has been performing on stage since he was 12 years old and among others has been awarded with Independent Music Awards in 2012, Global Music Awards in 2019/2020 and has toured in 57 countries with his own shows.
For a decade, El Amir was a member and soloist of the renowned World Music band Radio Tarifa, earning a Latin Grammy nomination in 2004 and in 2012 with Chambao.
He has performed, recorded and collaborated with famous artists such as Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Juno Reactor (Matrix Reloaded), Eliades Ochoa (Buenavista Social Club), Vince DiCola (Transformers), Brad Fiedel (Terminator), Peter Murphy (Bauhaus), Daniel Hope, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Canción Andaluza Project by Paco de Lucía, among others.
Hans Zimmer invited him to perform on various soundtracks including ‘The Rhythm Section’ (Jude Law), ‘SpongeBob 3 – On the Run’, ‘Boss Baby 2’, ‘Army of Thieves’ (Netflix) and ‘James Bond 007 – No Time to Die’.
El Amir has already been the guitar soloist of ‘The World of Hans Zimmer’ in 2018/ 19/ 20.
He has released 3 flamenco albums and is the creator of FGM Flamenco Guitar Method spreading Flamenco music worldwide.
